The draw goes ahead on the published date anyway and the prize is won. We never extend a closing date and we never roll a draw over.

Before entries open we publish a fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) of the number that decides the draw. After the draw we publish the number itself. Anyone can recompute the result in the Glass Vault, in their own browser.

No. Every competition on this site has a free entry route by post, which goes into exactly the same draw with exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry. The full instructions are on the free entry route page and on every competition page.

Prize competitions in Great Britain are lawful when entry depends on skill, knowledge or judgement. The question is that test. It is drawn from a moderated bank, the answer is never shown on the page, and you have to get it right before an entry is placed.

Tokens can be spent on instant-win games, and the prize draw code of practice does not allow credit cards to fund those. Rather than run two classes of token, we take debit cards only.

18 or over. We ask you to confirm your date of birth when you join and we may ask for identification before a prize is released.

Yes. In your account you can set a monthly limit at any figure, including £0. Reductions apply straight away; increases take 24 hours. You can also take a break of six months or more.

Yes. Send a postcard naming the pot to our free entry address and we will seat you in the next round that opens, at no cost and with exactly the same chance of winning as anybody who paid.

A pot is a shared table. Everyone pays the same for a seat, everyone has to clear the same matching board to sit down, and when the table draws, one seat takes 78% of everything on it. The more people who sit down, the bigger the prize — and it is guaranteed to go to somebody, because the draw only happens once there are at least two players.

Site credit equal to 78% of the table, paid into your account immediately. Credit buys tokens. It is not withdrawable as cash.

Cash prizes are paid by bank transfer within five working days of the draw. Physical prizes are arranged with you directly and delivered free within mainland UK.

Items won on slider games can be sold back for site credit at the percentage shown on the game and on the item itself, before you accept. Competition prizes have a cash alternative instead, published on the competition page.

Each item has a published weight, and the odds table on the game page shows the exact chance of every item. The outcome comes from your own client seed, our sealed server seed and a counter that moves one step per play. The animation is played over a result that is already recorded.

Site credit comes from selling an item back, from referrals, or from a goodwill adjustment. It buys tokens. It cannot be withdrawn as cash — this is a prize site, not a cash-out service.

Tokens are what you buy, and they are the only thing you buy. One token is 10p. Every competition and game shows how many tokens an entry costs, so the price is always in front of you.
