Terms and conditions

These terms cover your account, tokens, site credit and everything you do on this site. Competition-specific rules are in the competition rules.

Who we are

This site is operated by Competition Heaven Ltd. Our registered details, company number and registered office are in the footer of every page. You can reach us at the email address on our contact page.

Your account

You must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom to hold an account. One account per person. We may ask for identification at any time and will always do so before releasing a prize. Accounts opened with false details, and any entries made from them, are void.

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Tokens

Tokens are the only thing you buy on this site. One token costs 10p. Tokens have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another account. Unspent tokens remain in your wallet for as long as your account is open.

If we cancel a competition or a game, any tokens spent on it are returned to your wallet.

Site credit

Site credit is earned by selling a won item back, through referrals, or as a goodwill adjustment by us. Credit buys tokens at the same rate as cash. Credit is not withdrawable and has no cash value.

Payment

We accept debit cards. We do not accept credit cards, because tokens can be spent on instant-win competitions and the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators does not permit credit cards to fund those.

Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number.

Spending limits and breaks

You can set a monthly spending limit at any figure, including £0, from your account. Reductions take effect immediately; increases take effect 24 hours after you request them. You can also suspend your account for a minimum of six months, which cannot be reversed early.

Entries

Entries are placed only when the skill question has been answered correctly, or, on a slider game, when the timed challenge has been passed. Once an entry is placed it cannot be withdrawn or refunded.

The number of tickets in a competition is fixed before it opens and is never increased. Per-person ticket limits, where they apply, are stated on the competition.

Prizes

Prizes are as described on the competition page. Where a cash alternative is offered, its amount is published on the same page and the winner chooses. Prizes are delivered free within mainland UK; delivery elsewhere is arranged case by case.

We will contact a winner using the details on their account within seven days of a draw. If we cannot reach a winner within 28 days, we may redraw and will say so publicly.

Things we are not responsible for

We are not responsible for post that arrives late or not at all, for a failure of your own internet connection, or for details you have entered incorrectly on your account. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Changing these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the foot of this page shows when they last changed. A change never applies retrospectively to a competition you have already entered.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
